Opentech®'s technological know-how in finishes for levers and mountings offers the vastest choice in terms of looks and surface resistance.
The basic composition of both steels is an iron-carbon alloy containing percentages of nickel (10%) and chromium (18%). Molybden (2-3%) is added to AISI316 steel to improve its stainless performances. Both steels are guaranteed class 5 for corrosion resistance: AISI304 tested in salt spray for 500h, AISI316 tested in salt spray for 1,000h.
ABACO® ANTIBACTERIAL TREATMENT
The ABACO® treatment is based on Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD). Silver ions give the handle surface bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. The treated product is hypoallergenic and able to withstand wear and corrosion for a long period of time (class 5 - 2,000h salt spray test). If the handle is correctly installed and maintained, Opentech® guarantees antibacterial efficacy for 20 years. To keep the surface in perfect condition, clean the handle at least twice a year with a soft cloth dipped in vinegar.
A surface finish based on Physical Vapour Deposition (PVD) that creates a protective film around products to defend them from atmospheric agents and wear for a long period of time (guaranteed class 5 - 2,000h salt spray test - against corrosion). The coating renders the product totally hypoallergenic. To keep the surface in perfect condition, the handle should be cleaned at least twice a year with a soft cloth dipped in vinegar.
BIOV® ANTIBACTERIAL COATING
The handle and mounting are finished with the special BIOV® coating, mixed with silver ions, to give the product's surface bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. BIOV® coating complies with the JIS Z-2801-2000 standard (certificate No. 05A0856): it is guaranteed class 5 - 1,000h salt spray test - against corrosion.
The product is coated with a high strength paint in MATTE (GLOSS 06) or GLOSSY (GLOSS 85) version. The RAL colour coding system is used. Opentech® RAL painting is guaranteed class 5 - 1,000h salt spray test - against corrosion.
